Volunteer with Reach UP Communications
Reach UP Volunteer Team members desire to continue building a communications network that is making a difference. Reach UP has no competition for our demographic. The possibilities for influencing and empowering an underserved population of women in the realm of print and digital media is vast.
Volunteers must agree to “What We Believe” as listed.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
Ambassador:
Local, Nationwide
Two approaches needed, but not required for candidates – choose which approach you want to pursue.
Approach A) Identify and build relationships with non-profit leaders to utilize Reach UP with their clients. May require phone calls and in-person meetings. May include centralized delivering of magazines to foster relationships.
Approach B) Identify and build relationships with new donors to underwrite Reach UP publication and projects. May require phone calls and in-person meetings. Plus, social skills of thank you notes and possible donor-based written communication.
Fundraiser: Possible projects may include, but not limited to: Creating crowdfunding projects or online fundraising sales; Presentation lunches; Selling ads suitable to be online and/or in the print magazine. Follow through on all steps necessary for the projects. Communicate with Database manager with leads and accurate donation records.
Grant Writer: Identify grants and submit criteria. Must be able to organize thoughts, compile documentation and write clearly to the subject. Follow up grants on an annual basis.
Make calls from database on a variety of subjects/needs as determined by CEO. Update database based on findings. People and computer skills/WIFI necessary for cloud-based database.
Relationship Media Manager: This project is highly sensitive. Requires superior people skills with our readers; WIFI; willingness to be on social media.
RU Secretary: Help CEO with secretarial needs. Most helpful to be in the NW Arkansas location. Project based. Skilled with Word and basic Adobe helpful.
Shipping Assistant: Prepare print copies of Reach UP magazine for shipping. Once a quarter, local. NW Arkansas.
Social Media Manager: Create and manage posts for social media. Laptop/desktop with a simple photo editing program (to crop pictures), and internet access.
Spanish Project Manager and Facilitator: Identify needs for the Spanish MyReachUP site to keep pace with developments on the English side. Make appropriate changes or delegate accordingly.
Video Editor: Edit creative empowerment videos for Reach UP TV.
Website Uploader: Help build and grow MyReachUP.org, our new reader-centric website. Create AI mp3 audio versions of the written articles (using a program provided). Upload content (articles, photos, mp3s, videos). You will be trained on everything. No experience with WordPress necessary. Laptop/desktop with a simple photo editing program (to crop pictures), and internet access.
Writer: Write on a variety of topics with the Reach UP reader in mind.
